Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Instant Indeed Alert ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Instant Indeed Alert Chrome extension and website at jobhuntershut.com/IndeedInstantAlert. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the service:

• Google account information: your name, email address, and profile picture, obtained when you sign in with Google. This is used to identify your account.
• Subscription status: whether your account is in trial or active paid access, and whether an auto-renewing subscription with our payment provider is active or canceled, stored in our database to gate access to the extension.
• Job Tracker data: the jobs the extension detects on the Indeed job searches you monitor (job ID, title, company, location, link, and when it was found), the searches they were found on (the search's Indeed URL parameters, such as keywords, location and filters), the jobs you mark as applied or forgotten, and the companies you mute. This data is stored in your browser and, when account sync is enabled for your account, also in your Instant Indeed Alert account so your Job Tracker is available on our website. It is kept only for the periods in Section 7.
• Usage analytics: events describing how the app is used, for example, signing in, starting or stopping monitoring, opening the Job Tracker, or completing checkout. These events are tied to your account so we can understand how individual accounts use the product and improve it. They describe app behavior only: they never include your job search queries, job listing content, or Indeed job listing data.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect, store, or transmit your Indeed credentials or session data.
• We do not collect browsing history outside of Indeed job search pages.
• We do not sell your data to any third party.
• We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
• We do not distribute or share your usage analytics with any third party for their own purposes. This data is used internally, by us, to understand and improve app behavior.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your account via Google Sign In.
• To verify your subscription status and grant access to the extension.
• To send browser notifications when new job listings are detected.
• To show your Job Tracker, including on our website, and to avoid alerting you twice about the same job.
• To understand how the app is used and improve it, based on usage analytics.

4. Data Storage

Your account information and subscription status are stored securely in Supabase, a cloud database provider. Job Tracker data is stored in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) and, when account sync is enabled for your account, in your Instant Indeed Alert account in Supabase, where other users cannot access it. It is deleted automatically after the periods in Section 7.

5. Third Party Services

• Google OAuth: used for authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: used for database and authentication backend. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Iyzico: used for payment processing. Subject to Iyzico's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics: used only as our infrastructure for processing usage analytics (see Section 1). We do not use it for advertising, and it does not receive job search content or Indeed job listing data. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Indeed

Instant Indeed Alert operates as a browser extension that reads publicly visible job listing information from Indeed search pages you are already viewing. We do not interact with Indeed's API, scrape data at scale, or violate Indeed's Terms of Service. The extension only activates on pages you explicitly navigate to.

7. Data Retention

Job listings, and the jobs you mark as applied or forgotten, are automatically deleted 90 days after they were found or marked, both in your browser and in your account. Muted companies are automatically unmuted and deleted after 180 days. You can clear all extension data at any time by removing the extension or clearing browser storage. Account data is deleted upon request by contacting us. Usage analytics events are retained according to our Google Analytics data retention settings.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request data deletion, contact us at the email below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
